This constituency covers an approximate area of 1561.65 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Sabalagadh is: 19°54'21.2"N 73°31'46.6"E.

In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Hiraman Bhika Khoskar of INC won in this constituency beating Nirmala Ramesh Gavit of SS by a margin of 31,485 votes which was 18.82% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Gaveet Nirmala Ramesh of INC was the winner in this seat beating Zhole Shivram Shankar of SS by a margin of 10,377 votes which was 6.64% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Gavit Nirmala Ramesh of INC won this seat defeating Mengal Kashinath Dagdu of MNS by a margin of 3,722 votes which was 3% of the total votes polled for the seat.
