In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Vidya Jaiprakash Thakur of BJP won in this constituency beating Mohite Yuvraj Ganesh of INC by a margin of 48,855 votes which was 32.08% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Vidya Thakur of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Subhash Desai of SS by a margin of 4,756 votes which was 2.9% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Subhash Desai of SS won this seat defeating Sharad Rao of NCP by a margin of 24,815 votes which was 17.03% of the total votes polled for the seat.
