This constituency covers an approximate area of 12.85 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Sabalagadh is: 18°55'52.7"N 72°49'38.3"E.

In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Adv Rahul Suresh Narwekar of BJP won in this constituency beating Ashok Arjunrao Alias Bhai Jagtap of INC by a margin of 16,159 votes which was 15.15% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Raj K Purohit of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Pandurang Ganpat Sakpal of SS by a margin of 23,787 votes which was 20.28% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Annie Shekhar of INC won this seat defeating Raj K Purohit of BJP by a margin of 8,057 votes which was 8.17% of the total votes polled for the seat.
