This constituency covers an approximate area of 63.25 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Sabalagadh is: 18°36'01.1"N 73°50'09.2"E.

In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Jagtap Laxman Pandurang of BJP won in this constituency beating Kalate Rahul Tanaji of IND by a margin of 38,494 votes which was 13.84% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Jagtap Laxman Pandurang of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Kalate Rahul Tanaji of SS by a margin of 60,297 votes which was 22.11% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Jagtap Laxman Pandurang of IND won this seat defeating Appa Alias Shrirang Chandu Barne of SS by a margin of 6,575 votes which was 3.32% of the total votes polled for the seat.
