In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Sanjay Waman Sawkare of BJP won in this constituency beating Dr Madhu Rajesh Manawatkar of IND by a margin of 52,643 votes which was 34.94% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Sawakare Sanjay Waman of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Zalte Rajesh Dhanaji of NCP by a margin of 34,637 votes which was 22.14% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Savkare Sanjay Waman of NCP won this seat defeating Ad Rajesh Dhanaji Zalte of SS by a margin of 3,903 votes which was 2.96% of the total votes polled for the seat.
