This constituency covers an approximate area of 14.86 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Sabalagadh is: 19°07'51.6"N 72°55'22.8"E.

In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Ramesh Gajanan Korgaonkar of SS won in this constituency beating Sandeep Prabhakar Jalgaonkar of MNS by a margin of 29,049 votes which was 18.24% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Ashok Patil of SS was the winner in this seat beating Kotak Monoj of BJP by a margin of 4,772 votes which was 2.89% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Shishir Shinde of MNS won this seat defeating Nalawade Shivajirao Vishnu of NCP by a margin of 30,943 votes which was 20.8% of the total votes polled for the seat.
