Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024

15th Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha Elections

The assembly elections in Maharashtra will be held for 288 seats, with the electoral contest primarily between two political alliances: the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), which comprises the Congress (INC), Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena faction, the Sharad Pawar-led NCP (SP); and the rival Mahayuti, the ruling alliance consisting of Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). The current term of the State Assembly is set to conclude on November 26, 2024.
