This constituency covers an approximate area of 2313.39 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Sabalagadh is: 20°01'04.8"N 78°14'54.6"E.

A total of five Assembly constituencies in the state of Maharashtra share borders with Arni constituency, which are: Yavatmal, Ralegaon, Wani, Kinwat, Umarkhed. This constituency shares an inter-state border with Adilabad district of Telangana.

In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Dr Dhurve Sandeep Prabhakar of BJP won in this constituency beating Shivajirao Shivramji Moghe of INC by a margin of 3,159 votes which was 01.50% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Raju Narayan Todsam of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Moghe Shivajirao Shivramaji of INC by a margin of 20,721 votes which was 10.39% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Shiwajirao Shiwramji Moghe of INC won this seat defeating Ingale Uttam Raghobaji of BJP by a margin of 37,581 votes which was 22.42% of the total votes polled for the seat.
