In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Sanjay Satyendra Pathak of BJP won in this seat defeating Padma Shukla of INC by a margin of 13,738 which was 8.22% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 47.83% in 2018 in this seat.
In 2013, Sanjay Pathak of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Padma Shukla of BJP by a margin of 929 votes which was 0.62% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 40.34% in the seat.
In the 2008 elections, Sanjay Pathak of INC won this seat beating Dhruv Pratap Singh ( Deepak Bhaiya ) of BJP by a margin of 22,801 votes which was 18.91% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 44.06% in the seat.
