In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Seetaram of BJP won in this seat defeating Ramniwas Rawat of INC by a margin of 2,840 which was 1.64% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 36.5% in 2018 in this seat.
In 2013, Ramniwas Rawat of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Sitaram Adiwashi of BJP by a margin of 2,149 votes which was 1.41% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 44.12% in the seat.
