In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Rampal Singh of BJP won in this seat defeating Devendra Patel of INC by a margin of 7,072 which was 4.56% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 41.42% in 2018 in this seat.
In 2013, Rampal Singh of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Devendra Patel of INC by a margin of 17,078 votes which was 12.2% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 49.24% in the seat.
