In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Shailendra Jain of BJP won in this seat defeating Navy Jain of INC by a margin of 17,366 which was 13.16% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 50.96% in 2018 in this seat.
In 2013, Shailendra Jain of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Sushil Tiwari of INC by a margin of 8,223 votes which was 6.54% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 51.16% in the seat.
In the 2008 elections, Shailendra Kumar Jain of BJP won this seat beating Prakash Jain of INC by a margin of 20,851 votes which was 24.18% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 53.34% in the seat.
