In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Balaram of INC won in this seat defeating Antarsingh of BJP by a margin of 932 which was 0.52% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 47.99% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Bala Bachchan of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Devisingh Patel of BJP by a margin of 11,196 votes which was 6.73% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 49.39% in the seat.
