In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Jaivardhan Singh of INC won in this seat defeating Bhupendra Singh Raghuwanshi of BJP by a margin of 46,697 which was 29.29% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 61.64% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Jaivardhan Singh of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Radhe Shyam Dhakad Son Of Amarlal Dhakad of BJP by a margin of 58,204 votes which was 39.19% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 66.02% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Mool Singh (Dada Bhai) of INC won this seat beating Bhupendra Singh Raghuwanshi of BJP by a margin of 7,688 votes which was 8.38% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 43.61% in the seat.
