In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Anil Jain of BJP won in this seat defeating Meera Deepak Yadav of SP by a margin of 8,837 which was 6.52% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 36.71% in 2018 in this seat.
In 2013, Anil Jain of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Meera Deepak Yadav of SP by a margin of 27,209 votes which was 21.69% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 48.14% in the seat.
