In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Vishvas Sarang of BJP won in this seat defeating Dr Mahendra Singh Chauhan of INC by a margin of 23,151 which was 11.34% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 53.24% in 2018 in this seat.
In 2013, Vishwas Sarang of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Sunil Sood of INC by a margin of 26,970 votes which was 15.27% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 55.76% in the seat.
In the 2008 elections, Vishwas Sarang of BJP won this seat beating Sunil Sood of INC by a margin of 3,273 votes which was 2.72% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 47.4% in the seat.
