In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Sandip Shree Prasad Jaiswal of BJP won in this seat defeating Mithlesh Jain , Advocate of INC by a margin of 16,080 which was 9.85% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 48.75% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Sandip Shriprasad Jaiswal of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Feroz Ahmad of INC by a margin of 47,138 votes which was 32.99% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 61.16% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Giriraj Kishor (Raju ) Poddar of BJP won this seat beating Priyadarshan Gour of INC by a margin of 30,066 votes which was 27.67% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 47.5% in the seat.
