In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Brajendra Singh Yadav of INC won in this seat defeating Dr Krishna Pal Singh (Dr K P ) of BJP by a margin of 2,136 which was 1.54% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 39.99% in 2018 in this seat.
In 2013, Mahendra Singh Kalukheda of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Rao Deshraj Singh of BJP by a margin of 20,765 votes which was 14.91% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 50.74% in the seat.
In the 2008 elections, Rao Deshraj Singh Yadav of BJP won this seat beating Arvind Kumar Abbi of INC by a margin of 21,045 votes which was 20.79% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 45.43% in the seat.
