In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Pradeep Kumar Patel of BJP won in this seat defeating Sukhendra Singh of INC by a margin of 11,092 which was 8.22% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 35.38% in 2018 in this seat.
In 2013, Sukhendra Singh (Banna) of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Laxman Tiwari of BJP by a margin of 10,766 votes which was 9.14% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 33.02% in the seat.
In the 2008 elections, Laxman Tiwari of BJSH won this seat beating Akhand Pratap Singh of BJP by a margin of 4,879 votes which was 5.43% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 26.89% in the seat.
