In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Meena Singh of BJP won in this seat defeating Gyanvati Singh of INC by a margin of 18,655 which was 10.63% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 46.9% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Meena Singh of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Gyanwati Singh of IND by a margin of 43,628 votes which was 27.23% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 43.71% in the seat.
