In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Dr Hiralal Alawa of INC won in this seat defeating Ranjna Baghel of BJP by a margin of 39,501 which was 22.74% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 58.43% in 2018 in this seat.
In 2013, Ranjana Baghel of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Niranjan Dawar Loni of INC by a margin of 1,639 votes which was 1.1% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 37.09% in the seat.
In the 2008 elections, Ranjana Baghel of BJP won this seat beating Gajendrasingh Rajukhedi of INC by a margin of 2,034 votes which was 1.79% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 46.77% in the seat.
