In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Surendra Singh Honey Baghel of INC won in this seat defeating Virendra Singh Baghel of BJP by a margin of 62,930 which was 38.1% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 65.63% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Surendrasingh Hani Baghel of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Kirade Mukamsingh Kishansingh of BJP by a margin of 42,768 votes which was 29.29% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 61.03% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Jamuna Devi of INC won this seat beating Relam Chouhan of BJP by a margin of 10,798 votes which was 10.46% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 48.36% in the seat.
