In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Banavareelal Sharma (Japthap) of INC won in this seat defeating Maneeram Dhakad of BSP by a margin of 15,173 which was 9.3% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 34.45% in 2018 in this seat.
In 2013, Subedar Singh of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Banwari Lal of INC by a margin of 2,498 votes which was 1.7% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 28.94% in the seat.
In the 2008 elections, Maniram Dhakad of BSP won this seat beating Brandavan Singh of INC by a margin of 8,595 votes which was 7.39% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 31.39% in the seat.
