In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Ashok Ishwardas Rohani of BJP won in this seat defeating Pt Alok Mishra of INC by a margin of 26,585 which was 21.02% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 56.86% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Ashok Ishwardas Rohani of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Sarveshwar 'Chaman' Shrivastava of INC by a margin of 53,741 votes which was 44.24% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 68.88% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Ishwardas Rohani of BJP won this seat beating Alok Mishra of INC by a margin of 24,731 votes which was 25.4% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 58.76% in the seat.
