In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Kunwar Vijay Shah of BJP won in this seat defeating Sukhram Salve of INC by a margin of 18,949 which was 12.23% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 52% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Kuvar Vijay Shah of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Surajbhanu Solanki of INC by a margin of 43,571 votes which was 32.33% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 54.83% in the seat.
