In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Shivdayal Bagri of INC won in this seat defeating Rajesh Kumar Verma of BJP by a margin of 1,984 which was 1.29% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 37.55% in 2018 in this seat.
In 2013, Mahendra Singh of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Shiv Dayal of INC by a margin of 1,337 votes which was 1.07% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 33.66% in the seat.
In the 2008 elections, Rajesh Kumar Verma of BJP won this seat beating Engineer Jeewan Lal Siddharth of BSP by a margin of 4,828 votes which was 4.9% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BSP had a vote share of 33.5% in the seat.
