In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Ranvir Jatav of INC won in this seat defeating Lalsingh Arya of BJP by a margin of 23,989 which was 18.5% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 48.58% in 2018 in this seat.
In 2013, Lal Singh Arya of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Mevaram Jatav of INC by a margin of 19,814 votes which was 17.49% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 45.65% in the seat.
In the 2008 elections, Makhan Lal Jatav of INC won this seat beating Lal Singh Arya of BJP by a margin of 1,553 votes which was 1.7% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 30.37% in the seat.
