In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Vishal Jagdish Patel of INC won in this seat defeating Manoj Nirbhaysingh Patel of BJP by a margin of 9,044 which was 4.81% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 50.46% in 2018 in this seat.
In 2013, Manoj Nirbhaysingh Patel of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Satyanarayan Patel of INC by a margin of 30,197 votes which was 18.37% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 56.74% in the seat.
