In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Rahul Singh of INC won in this seat defeating Jayant Malaiya of BJP by a margin of 798 which was 0.46% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 45.05% in 2018 in this seat.
In 2013, Jayant Malaiya of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Chandra Bhan Bhaiya of INC by a margin of 4,953 votes which was 3.23% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 47.31% in the seat.
In the 2008 elections, Jayant Malaiya of BJP won this seat beating Chandbhan Bhaiya of INC by a margin of 130 votes which was 0.11% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 42.09% in the seat.
