In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Neelanshu Chaturvedi of INC won in this seat defeating Surendra Singh Gaharwar of BJP by a margin of 10,198 which was 7.13% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 40.9% in 2018 in this seat.
In 2013, Prem Singh of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Surendra Singh Gaharwar of BJP by a margin of 10,970 votes which was 8.84% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 36.98% in the seat.
In the 2008 elections, Surendra Singh Gaharwar of BJP won this seat beating Prem Singh of INC by a margin of 722 votes which was 0.76% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 26.24% in the seat.
