In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Arif Masood of INC won in this seat defeating Surendra Nath Singh (Mamma) of BJP by a margin of 14,757 which was 10.24% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 53.2% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Surendra Nath Singh of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Arif Masood of INC by a margin of 6,981 votes which was 5.02% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 50.81% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Dhruv Narayan Singh of BJP won this seat beating Nasir Islam of INC by a margin of 2,519 votes which was 2.45% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 48.6% in the seat.
