In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Raksha Devi of INC won in this seat defeating Rajni Prajapati of BJP by a margin of 39,896 which was 33.69% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 62.12% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Ghanshyam Pironiya of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Arun Kumar (Annu Bharti) of INC by a margin of 7,651 votes which was 7.76% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 37.42% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Asha Ram Ahirwar of BJP won this seat beating Phool Singh Baraiya of LJP by a margin of 20,098 votes which was 21.87% of the total votes polled in the constituency. LJP had a vote share of 39.67% in the seat.
