In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Rajvardhan Singh - Premsingh Dattigaw of INC won in this seat defeating Bhanwarsingh Shekhawat of BJP by a margin of 41,506 which was 24.76% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 50.4% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Bhanvarsingh Shekhawat of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Rajvardhansingh Premsingh Dattigaon of INC by a margin of 9,812 votes which was 6.67% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 50.09% in the seat.
