In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Bisahulal Singh of INC won in this seat defeating Ramlal Rautel of BJP by a margin of 11,561 which was 9.19% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 49.91% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Ramlal Rautel of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Bisahulal Singh of INC by a margin of 11,745 votes which was 10% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 48.88% in the seat.
