In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Manohar Untwal of BJP won in this seat defeating Vipin Wankhede of INC by a margin of 2,490 which was 1.45% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 47.69% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Manohar Oontwal of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Madhav Singh of INC by a margin of 28,859 votes which was 19.07% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 55.34% in the seat.
