Torpa comprises of the following areas of Khunti district in the South Jharkhand region of Jharkhand: Torpa and Rania police stations and Gram Panchayats Gumru, Gobindpur, Tilmi, Lapa, Jariagarh, Urikel and Hutub in Karra police station in Khunti sub-division; and Bano police station in Simdega sub-division.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 1390.11 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Sabalagadh is: 22°53'47.4"N 85°05'13.6"E.
