In the 2019 Jharkhand Assembly elections, Naman Bixal Kongari of INC won in this constituency beating Sujan Jojo of BJP by a margin of 12,338 votes which was 09.69% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Anosh Ekka of JKP was the winner in this seat beating Manoj Nagesiya of BJP by a margin of 17,143 votes which was 13.86% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Anosh Ekka of JKP won this seat defeating Mahendra Bhagat of BJP by a margin of 7,502 votes which was 7.51% of the total votes polled for the seat.
