In 2014, Sanjeev Singh of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Niraj Singh of INC by a margin of 33,692 votes which was 21.9% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Kunti Devi of BJP won this seat defeating Suresh Singh of INC by a margin of 3,016 votes which was 2.49% of the total votes polled for the seat.
