In 2014, Nirbhay Kumar Shahabadi of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Sudivya Kumar of JMM by a margin of 9,933 votes which was 6.63% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Nirbhay Kumar Shahabadi of JVM won this seat defeating Munna Lal of IND by a margin of 7,102 votes which was 6.48% of the total votes polled for the seat.
