Gurgaon shares its borders with two other Assembly constituencies. Other Haryana Assembly constituencies adjacent to Gurgaon are: Badshahpur, Sohna. This constituency shares an inter-state border with Delhi.

In 2014, Umesh Aggarwal of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Gopi Chand Gahlot of INLD by a margin of 84,095 votes which was 44.26% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Sukhbeer of IND won this seat defeating Dharambir of INC by a margin of 2,140 votes which was 1.71% of the total votes polled for the seat.

In the 2019 Haryana Assembly elections, Sudhir Singla of BJP had a vote share of 43.33% in this seat. In 2014, Umesh Aggarwal of BJP secured a vote share of 55.85% in this constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Sukhbeer of IND got a vote share of 32.73% in Gurgaon.
