In 2016, Namita Saha . of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Chandan Saha of CPIM by a margin of 9560 votes which was 5.2% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Namita Saha of TMC won this seat defeating Chandan Saha of CPIM by a margin of 8803 votes which was 5.81% of the total votes polled for the seat.
