Victory margin
In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Jogaranjan Halder of TMC won in this constituency beating Pranab Kumar Mallik of BJP by a margin of 33818 votes which was 17.66% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Jogaranjan Halder of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Rejaul Haque Khan of CPIM by a margin of 11455 votes which was 6.77% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Jogoranjan Halder of TMC won this seat defeating Sakuntala Paik of CPIM by a margin of 18279 votes which was 12.81% of the total votes polled for the seat.
