Victory margin
In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Saokat Molla of TMC won in this constituency beating Gazi Shahabuddin Siraji of RSMPA by a margin of 53007 votes which was 23% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Saokat Molla of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Ajijer Rahaman Molla of CPIM by a margin of 55034 votes which was 28.44% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Abdur Razzak Molla of CPIM won this seat defeating Ibrahim Molya of INC by a margin of 21113 votes which was 13.47% of the total votes polled for the seat.
