In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Koninty Manik Rao of TRS won in this seat defeating Dr Jetty Geeta of INC by a margin of 34,473 which was 18.25% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 51.14% in 2018 in this seat.
