In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Aroori Ramesh of TRS won in this seat defeating Devaiah Pagidipati of TJS by a margin of 99,240 which was 52.43% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 69.35% in 2018 in this seat.
