In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Ramesh Chennamaneni of TRS won in this seat defeating Srinivas Aadi of INC by a margin of 28,186 which was 18.14% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 54.1% in 2018 in this seat.
