In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, T Padma Rao of TRS won in this seat defeating Kasani Gnaneshwar Mudhiraj of INC by a margin of 45,470 which was 34.5% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 60.18% in 2018 in this seat.
