In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, K P Vivekanand of TRS won in this seat defeating Kuna Srisailam Goud of INC by a margin of 41,500 which was 14.34% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 53.39% in 2018 in this seat.
