In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Challa Dharma Reddy of TRS won in this seat defeating Konda Surakha of INC by a margin of 46,519 which was 26.2% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 59.64% in 2018 in this seat.
