In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Nomula Narsimhaiah of TRS won in this seat defeating Jana Reddy Kunduru of INC by a margin of 7,771 which was 4.3% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 46.34% in 2018 in this seat.
